Madame Tussauds, Hollywood: Here’s your chance to get a glance of your favourite star. No, it’s not really them. But a life size wax statue is the next best thing. Located on Hollywood Boulevard, it is the Ninth Museum of the Tussauds franchise. It is best known for its wax sculpture of Shrek, which is the biggest statue in the museum. It also houses various wax idols of several stars like Beyoncé, Jamie Foxx, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Sam Raimi, Betty White, Tiger Woods and many more.
Universal studios: If you want to have some fun or are travelling with children, the universal studios is the place to be. It is a theme park as well as a movie studio. It hosts a number of shows like The Blues Brothers, Universal’s Animal Actors Show and Shrek- 4D etc. The theme park has several rides like its signature ride- the studio ride, the Simpsons ride and the transformers ride and so on. It is best known for its costumed characters. Some of the famous characters you’ll find on the park are Marilyn Monroe, Count Dracula, the Scooby Doo Characters and list goes on.
Hollywood: While you are in L.A. you wouldn’t want to miss out on the land of dreams. Places you might want to visit are the Hollywood sign and the Hollywood Boulevard. The Hollywood Boulevard is one of the most famous tourist attractions. You can look at the Handprints of famous stars in the courtyard of the Chinese theatre. You might also find The Hollywood and Highland complex and the Kodak theatre interesting.
J. Paul Getty Centre: It is an impressive architectural structure which also houses some of the finest and the most expensive works of art ranging from American photography from the 20th century to Renaissance paintings and Baroque sculptures. If you are into History and art, then you should visit this museum. Even if you don’t enjoy art, you could visit this centre for its lush gardens and scenic beauty. The best part is that you don’t have to pay a penny to get into the museum.
Sunset Boulevard: This Street represents celebrity culture and the glamour of Hollywood. It is home to the House of Blues, a chain of restaurants and 13 concert halls. You might want to check out places like Nickelodeon on sunset, a stage facility that produces shows for Nickelodeon, the Blessed Sacrament church, Psychiatry: an industry of Death museum, the garden of Allah and the tiffany theatre. You might also want to have a look at the sunset strip which is very popular for its active night life.
